Jane moved to the South Hams five years ago, after deciding to adopt a slower pace of life.
Born and bred in Birmingham, she worked for Lloyds Bank PLC for 25 years, whilst bringing up three children, and then decided to have a complete career change, qualifying as a British Sign Language Interpreter in 2005.
Working in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Oxfordshire for a local charity for deaf clients, this provided a raft of experience interpreting and advocating in all community domains.
Jane has no regrets leaving the big city for village life, but does enjoy returning to Birmingham regularly to catch up with family and friends
