TRANSPORT SURVEY
Following on from our loneliness and social isolation report, which identified that transport is the top barrier to reducing social isolation in the South Hams, we are rolling out a transport survey in 15 of our parishes. Most will start in January 2025 with surveys – individual to each community – available in locations such as shops, pubs, surgeries. Our team will also be going out to speak to people about their needs and put together in a comprehensive report.

Forty people from a range of organisations attended our Volunteer engagement day. Most speakers gave their time free-of-charge to provide information to our voluntary and community groups on a range of topics including volunteer recruitment and retention, communications and social media, timebanking, people with disabilities, the Job Centre, and so much more!
